About Us

Funded by a philanthropist and friend of public education in the Silicon Valley, NationalTeacher.org has been promoting the power of online learning technologies to make learning environments safer and healthier for children in our public schools.

NationalTeacher.org was founded March 1, 2000 as a 5001c3 nonprofit California corporation. Don Hutchison, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and philanthropist, generously funded the initial efforts to establish the organization focusing on video technologies for training in K-12 education.

The Board of Directors include Skip Vacarrello, Larry Miles and Richard Launey with Don Hutchinson serving as NTO Board Chairman.

Training and staff development in K-12 public education is an enormous task for all school districts in the country. New technologies have made the delivery of online video and multimedia content much more cost-effective than traditional classroom training.
